Frequently Asked Questions

Can the charger measure the energy used when charging?
Caret

Yes, the charger is always measuring the energy consumption of the charger settings. Even if the charger goes offline, the charger will store all energy consumption data and upload it to the cloud as soon as it is back online.

How do I use the cable lock?
Caret

The locking option is for when the charging cable is disconnected from the car. The charging cable will always be locked when it’s connected to the car. Locking the cable is an extra safety measure against the cable being taken when it is connected to the charger. Switching cable locking states is available in the Easee App or Easee Portal.

Does the Easee support Smart Charging?
Caret

Yes, the Easee supports Smart Charging. This allows you to postpone your charging to times where the energy price is at its lowest. Electricity prices vary 24 hours a day. Smart charging gives your electrical supplier the ability to supply less power when prices are high, and more power when prices are low.
